In this class, you will learn how to develop painting skills to paint the diversified subject mater from complex still-lifes, landscapes and the human form . This class will take you from the sketch phase to painted completion. You are given an in-depth understanding of mixing precise tones using a simplified color palette. Learning how to block in forms quickly and effectively, we will discuss how to compose your picture plane. You are given a breakdown of measuring and placement.  You will learn how to capture light and how it falls across an object.

SURFACE: 20 x 15 canvas or a canvas comparable

MEDIUM: Titanium white or flake white  Cadmium red or vermillion red Naples yellow  Yellow ochre  Ivory black 

BRUSHES: Long handled oil painting brushes Filbert size 8,9,10 (Two of each, but not mandatory) Round size 6,7,8 (Two of each, but not mandatory)

THINNERS: Odorless Turpenoid Linseed oil 

MISC. Palette knife  Paper towel Palette to mix paint
