BEGINNER OIL PAINTING CLASS I 2hr/Weekly
Tuesday 10 AM-12 PM
This class will give students the knowledge and confidence to begin painting
wherever they are. It will give a slow, guided and in-depth study of color mixing,
and how to correctly choose a color palette colors. You will learn how to
compose your reference on your picture plane and make it visually dynamic.
Students will be given a guide on brush selection and which brush to use while
painting. Each class will help improve and advance your skills.
SUPPLIES
SURFACE: 9 x 12 canvas or something comparable
MEDIUM: Titanium white, Cadmium red light, Cadmium yellow, Cadmium lemon, Alizarin crimson, Sap green, Viridian green, Burnt Umber Burnt sienna, Yellow ochre, Ultramarine blue, Cobalt blue, Ivory black
BRUSHES: Long-handled oil painting brushes Filbert size 3,4,6 Round size 3,4,6
THINNERS: Odorless Turpenoid Linseed oil
MISC. Palette knife Paper towel Palette or palette paper to mix paint
